The Department of Commerce offers B.Com. (Honors), B.Com Programme, Advertising Sales Promotion and Sales Management, Human Resource Management and Office Management and Secretarial Practices in B.A. Programme. The Department is constantly striving to achieve excellence through instilling academic innovation, social and ethical values in students needed to meet the current demands of dynamic entrepreneurial, academic and corporate world. Apart from classroom teaching, there is a constant effort to enhance student learning and bring them in contact with the corporate world. Eminent business personalities and academicians are invited for seminars and lectures on a regular basis. To facilitate face-to-face industry interactions, industrial visits are organised for students.The department organises its Annual Day Commxcelsior which hosts various inter-college competitions such as Business Plan, IPL Auction, Mock Stock, Group Discussion, Business Quiz, to name a few. Each year the event sees huge participation from various colleges. The department publishes its annual magazine Vanijya Vani which gives students an opportunity to write articles on issues related to business and economic world. The courses offered by the department open doors for the students for a wide number of career choices in fields such as accounting, finance, marketing, human resources, etc. Our alumnae are well-placed in various sectors; working as chartered accountants and business professionals in reputed firms and as academicians in prestigious Institutions.
